Chance To Change is the new single from Darlington’s Hayley McKay, which you can now pre-order (released 16th March). It’s a mid-tempo, country song with overtones of Fleetwood Mac that undoubtedly confirms Hayley’s status as an upcoming British country artist and certainly one to watch out for. And it’s another track that showcases Hayley’s uniquely pure vocal style. It’s taken from Hayley’s self-titled debut album scheduled for release in April on the Willow Records label.
The lilting nature of the song is indicative of its roots – its penned by Irish writers Aoibheann Carey Philpott and Joe Carey Jnr – and it’s a song that just keeps growing on you thanks to Matthew Parisi’s clever production creating numerous instrumental earworms that hook you in deeper with every listen.
‘This is only my third single, but each one has been very different’, said Hayley. Chance To Change also shows another element to my voice’. ‘It’s a great song to sing and I hope my audience will enjoy it as much as I do’.
Hayley has performed in Nashville, played at Glastonbury, SummerTyne Americana, Hardwick Live, and Twisterella, and supported iconic artists such as Albert Lee, Scouting For Girls, Tom Jones and Martha Reeves. Upcoming live dates include Feb 10th, The Georgian Theatre, Stockton, and Feb 23rd, The Stables 2, Milton Keynes, with more dates to be announced shortly.PRE-ORDER ON iTUNES
